  • Internet Safety - YouTube

    Tue 12 Mar 2024

    Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to inform you about a popular YouTube channel that your child may be accessing, known as SML (SuperMarioLogan). SML is a channel that produces puppet shows, primarily featuring characters from the Super Mario video game franchise. While these shows may seem child-friendly at first glance due to their use of familiar characters, it's important to note that the content can often be inappropriate for younger viewers. The videos frequently contain mature themes, coarse language, and adult humor.

As always, we encourage parents and carers to monitor their children's online activity and to utilise parental controls where necessary. It's also beneficial to have open discussions with your children about what they watch online, helping them understand what content is appropriate for their age. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

I have attached a guide to being safe on YouTube. Let's work together to ensure a safe and positive online environment for our children.

  • P.T.F.A Disco and Easter Competition

    Wed 06 Mar 2024

Please see the attached posters from our P.T.F.A.

Years 3-6 children may bring some additional money to spend at the tuck shop. Children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can stay at school until the disco starts - there is no need to collect the children at 3:10.

All children will need to be collected from the Key Stage One exit at the finish time stated on the poster.

Due to the nature of this event, Pre-School children are unable to attend. However, the Pre-School Team will host mini discos for the children on the same day. There won't be a charge for this.  They may still join in with the Easter competition.

  • Author and firefighter visit

    Wed 28 Feb 2024

On Tuesday 27th February, we were very lucky to receive a visit from local author Angela Chater. She visited Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  The children loved hearing her book- Stanley's Incredible Journey. Once Angela finished reading her book, children then participated in a workshop to inspire a love a reading.

As well as this, our Year 4 children had a team of local firefighter them. The firefighters discussed fire safety and highlighted the importance of children knowing escape routes during different scenarios that they might encounter at home and the procedures for reporting a fire when discovered. They also identified fire hazards in the home and learned about the correct place to position smoke detectors (hall and landing). Finally, children practised the stop, drop and roll and discussed why this was effective in putting out a fire

  • 2K Parent/Carer Evening

    Tue 06 Feb 2024

Due to a family circumstance, we must postpone Miss Koumi's parents / carer evening Wednesday and Thursday. Whilst Miss Koumi will be teaching the class during the day, she will be unable to conduct the appointments. 2K’s parent/carer evening will now be on 21st/22nd Feb at the same times you have already booked. We appreciate that you may already have plans so if you can’t make the appointment, please let Miss Koumi know and we’ll find an alternative arrangement. I am so sorry if this causes any inconvenience, we wouldn’t have postponed if it wasn’t a matter of urgency. Miss Koumi and I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding on this.
