  • Playground and car park set up

    Wed 04 Oct 2023

    Dear Parents and Carers,

You will probably have noticed we have a temporary fence on our playground. After receiving feedback from our school community, we are currently exploring how we can safely divide our outside space into a car park and a playground. This first step is to introduce a temporary fence to establish how much of a car park we are going to need.

From tomorrow, staff will use the Key Stage Two end of the playground as a car park. For children in Early Years and Years 1 and 2, drop-offs will remain as they are. For children in Years 3 to 6,  please drop your children off at the normal time, on the new playground side of the fencing. Staff will greet children on the playground; children will make their way into class through the KS2 entrance. A member of staff will be stood in a visible position to direct the children to the KS2 door.

We are still currently researching ways into getting our pedestrian gate widened - it sounds much easier than it is in reality.

  • Nuts in school

    Mon 02 Oct 2023

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this update finds you well. I am writing to inform you of our policy regarding the consumption of nuts.

As you may know, allergies to nuts are quite common and can be severe, even life-threatening for some individuals. We have children in our school who have been diagnosed with nut allergies. Their safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we kindly request that you refrain from sending any food items containing nuts to school with your child. This includes all types of nuts, such as peanuts, almonds, cashews, pine nuts, and others, as well as foods that may contain traces of nuts.

We understand that this may require some adjustments to your child’s lunch and snack choices. However, we believe that with your cooperation, we can create a safer and more inclusive environment for all our pupils.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Best regards,

    Mr J Beacham - Headteacher

  • Space Week!

    Sun 01 Oct 2023 Mr M Miller

We are excited to inform you that on

    Wednesday 11th October,

Black Hole Planetarium will be visiting Years 2, 3 and 4.

The planetarium is an inflatable space hemisphere for the children to become immersed in all things space. As scientists, the children will learn about a variety of topics including Earth, Space and light & dark. These topics are all linked to children’s science learning in Years 2, 3 and 4.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to explore something new and build their knowledge of space.

In order to run the session, we are asking for a small contribution of £3.50 each.

This can be paid via Parent Pay.

Should you have any questions do not hesitate to contact myself or your child’s class teacher.

    Yours sincerely,

Mrs Stevens Click link for to Letter to parents
