1,145 tubs collected = £91.60 for 

Throughout January, we collected chocolate tubs which we then took to a local Greene King pub. They then took them to a recycling plant where they received 8p per tub.  Greene King donated all of the money they received to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our Environment Team launched this project by visiting each class to tell them about it, writing a letter to parents and collecting the tubs from each class every Wednesday, in January. We then stacked and packed all of the tubs ready to be delivered to a local Greene King pub.

We kept a record of how many tubs each class collected and the class which collected the most won a prize … a (full) tub of chocolates!

In total, Dudley Wood Primary School collected 1,145 tubs!  Which means that is 1,145 tubs not going in a landfill and £91.60 has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Charity.

Class 3T collected the most tubs with an amazing 148!
