Full Circuit Break School Closure

Full Circuit Break Closure

Friday 16 July

Dear Parents,

In my letter on Tuesday I said I would give you a further update today.

I must now tell you that we have had further cases reported to the school and as a result Dudley Wood Primary School will not re open before the end of term.

This decision has been made with the full support of the Dudley Public Health Protection Team, the Leader of Education for Dudley Council and the Learning Link Multi Academy Trust officers.

This decision has been made in the interests of everybody’s safety but especially our children.

We currently have a high number of positive cases amongst our children. These cases are spread across the school and there are currently 5 classes closed, with their pupils and staff isolating at home.

We are really sad that this year has ended this way. We wish you a safe and happy summer holiday and look forward to working with you again in September.

Here are the arrangements for:

  • Purchasing uniform
  • Collecting your child’s annual report
  • Collecting your child’s school photograph

Purchasing School Uniform

The school uniform shop is cancelled next week and will open in September before your child returns to school.

Collecting your child’s annual report and school photograph

The arrangements below have been discussed and agreed with Dudley Public Health.

The following safety measures must be followed:

  • You must not attend if you are isolating because you are a contact of a positive case or have tested positive yourself. Please note this is a legal requirement.
  • Face coverings must be worn on the playground.
  • Please remain behind the blue line at all times.
  • Only one person per household to attend.
  • Please do not remain in the playground after collecting your child’s report and photograph.

We will ask you to sign for the receipt of the reports and photographs and you may be asked to produce ID. You may wish to bring your own pen, and remember to bring ID with you.

Date for the collection

Tuesday 20th July

Please come at the following times:

Nursery and Year 6: 10:30 – 11:30

Reception and Year 5: 11:45 – 12:45

Year 1 and Year 4: 1:00 – 2:00

Year 2 and Year 3: 2:15 – 3:15

There is an additional time for anyone who cannot attend because they are self-isolating on Wednesday 28th July 10:00-11:00

If you have children in more than one year group, all the reports and photographs will be available for you to collect at your youngest child’s time.

We realise that this may be difficult for some parents but we must remain strict at this time and follow the specific guidance of Dudley Public Health.

Thank you for your support.

Kindest regards,

Mrs S. Guest

Headteacher
